Abstract på engelska

To support learning, a sense of trust between student and teacher is required. This assumption is discussed in relation to three human conditions: the biological, the moral and the political. In the oral space of the classroom, teachers and students are dependent on these preconditions when asking: What is a we? What are we doing? What are we making? How emulation and the presence of trust play into these questions, is the focus of this essay. The pedagogical-rhetorical meaning of trust is discussed in relation to the temporal aspect of movement in ongoing dialogue; the double function of friendship; and the importance of understanding the pedagogical situation collectively. These factors are interdependent and have an impact on the pedagogical rhetorical function of trust. Consequently, they must all be considered if we want to understand the role of the potentially exemplary teacher better.
