How courses are assessed
Courses are assessed in different ways depending on the course. Common forms of assessment include:
- Written exams (on campus)
- Take-home exams
- Written assignments (individual or group)
- Oral seminars
If you do not pass or do not attend the first exam:
- you will normally be offered a resit within about one month
- you may also have a later re-sit opportunity
Exam registration
- You are automatically registered for your first exam when you are enrolled on the course
- You only need to register separately for written on-campus exams
- You must register yourself in Ladok for resits
Written exams (on campus)
Before the exam
- Bring valid photo ID (student card is not accepted)
- You must be registered for the course
- Exams start and end at the scheduled time
During the exam
- Late arrival is not allowed after one hour
- You may not leave during the first hour
- Bags, phones and notes must be stored as instructed (phones must be switched off)
- Only permitted materials may be used
- Dictionaries (Swedish ā another language) are allowed for non-native Swedish speakers
- Make sure you have the correct exam paper
- Fill in all required details, including your anonymous code
Examination at Annexet, Sparta and Victoriastadion (common rules, digital exams, loan computers and adapted invigilated exams)
Results and feedback
Results are normally published within 15 working days in Ladok.
A review session is often offered where:
- exams are returned
- marking is explained
- you can ask questions
Information about collecting your exam will be available on Canvas.
Review and correction of grades
Grades are decided by the examiner and cannot be appealed. However, a grade may be corrected if:
- the decision is clearly incorrect
- it can be changed quickly and easily
- the grade is not lowered
To request a review:
- submit a written request
- clearly explain what you believe is incorrect

Cheating and plagiarism
Cheating and plagiarism are not allowed and may lead to disciplinary action. Suspected cases are reported to the university and may result in a warning or suspension.
