Minor Field Studies (MFS)
MFS scholarships
Sida’s MFS scholarship is for Bachelor's and Master's students who would like to collect research material in a developing country for their degree theses. During 8-10 weeks of field studies, the students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in a discipline of their choice. The scholarship of 27 000 Swedish kronor is intended to cover travel expenses as well as field costs during the stay.
Students at Lund University can apply for Minor Field Study scholarships. At the Department of Sociology you can apply for an MFS in our three subjects Sociology, Social Anthropology and Education if you would like to do a field study in a developing country as a basis for a bachelor's or master's thesis.
