Master of Science in Human Resources

Advanced level. 120 credits. Start: Autumn. Preparing you for PhD studies and for advanced professional work.

The Master’s programme in Human Resources (HR) focuses on developing a scientifically anchored HR work with a particular
focus on social sustainability and innovation. The programme starts in autumn 2025 and the application period is October 2024 -January 2025.

The Master’s programme gives the student knowledge of social sustainability, innovation and change processes in organisations and the unique role HR can fill to support this work. The HR profession needs tools to implement, develop and evaluate strategies to meet the changes taking place in organisations, working life and society, both at national and
international level. Creativity and problem solving are central to strategic HR-driven development work that supports social
sustainability and innovations.

The programme leads to a master’s degree in Human Resources with a major in Psychology or Sociology. The Master’s programme also provides eligibility for further studies at postgraduate level in psychology and sociology.

  2. Submit your supporting documents:
    1. General supporting documents: Check what documents you need to submit and how you need to submit them.
    2. Programme-specific supporting documents: When applying for the MSc in Human Resources, you also need to submit a statement of purpose with your application. A template for this is available below.
  3. Pay the application fee (when applicable).

As part of the application process you need to submit a statement of purpose. In the statement you will answer a number of questions about yourself, your previous studies and motivation.
