Understand society from different perspectives
Do you want to understand how society works, why inequalities arise, and how people’s lives are shaped in different cultural contexts?
At the Department of Sociology, we study social issues from three complementary perspectives: gender studies, social anthropology and sociology. The disciplines share an interest in power, relationships and social change, but approach these questions in different ways – from analysing social structures and norms to studying people’s everyday lives in different parts of the world.
