Current Research
I am currently pursuing a doctorate revolving around the theme of Total Defence with the Department of Sociology and the newly established Research Centre, LUPREP. My research concerns itself with the question of how we can integrate Defence into society socially just and democratically, specifically concerning the question of how, if war or crisis arises, the West’s purported ‘open-society’ framework can be upheld. In researching this, I am looking at the integration of younger generations into defence projects and institution-building, specifically concerning concepts such as sovereignty, subjectivity, and agency.
