Participate in a study on contraceptive work

I am currently looking for 18-29 year old (cis- and trans-) women, men and non-binary people who live in the Skåne region who can take part in two interviews on their experiences and reflections around using contraceptives. To take part, you only need to have some sort of experience of using or having used (by yourself or together with partners) some contraceptive methods to prevent sexually transmitted infections and/or unwanted pregnancies.

Contraceptive methods can, for example, include: condoms, the pill, coils, implants, patches, pessaries, dental dam, PrEP, PEP, pulling out, natural methods, sterilisation or other methods.

Within the project, I am going to interview young people and collect stories about their experiences and reflections around contraceptive use. I want to investigate how they make sense of and experience the use of different methods for preventing unwanted STIs and/or pregnancies. I will also, as a separate element of the project, collect stories from individuals who in their professional setting work with young contraceptive users in order to get their perspective on this issue.

You are not obligated to take part in the study even after you have received more information, and if you decide to take part in the interviews you can always withdraw your participation without needing to give a particular reason.

If you’re interested in taking part or want to know more about the project, please get in touch:
