My PhD project is a case study on the research done by the Swedish trade union organization LO. The purpose of the project is to explore the policy-related social scientific knowledge production that organizations such as think tanks, political research institutes and interest organizations engage in. The study is based on interviews and participant observation, and primarily draws on theory from science and technology studies (STS) to understand the knowledge activities of political organizations. A particular focus is on the interaction between the production of knowledge, of policy and of collective interests.
I have a bachelor’s degree in political science from Uppsala University and a master’s degree in sociology from Lund University.
