The course consists of an independent ethnographic fieldwork. The aim of the fieldwork is to collect empirical data to be used in a degree project.
The fieldwork course gives you the opportunity to collect empirical data during the course period, in order to answer a research question that has been formulated before start of the course.
During the course you will perform advanced research activities linked to the chosen research topic and research questions.
The course consists of three parts:
- Preparation for fieldwork
- Execution of fieldwork
- Reporting results
It is your own responsibility to find an appropriate field work project and to finance housing, travels and other costs for the fieldwork.
The fieldwork is carried out independently but with continuous contact with and feedback from the supervisor.
The results are presented through an individually written report after the completed fieldwork.
