Susanne Boethius is a researcher at the Department of Sociology. Her research interests are interpersonal violence, violence against women, workplace innovation, job quality in hospital settings, digital health, foster care and money, returnees from war, and more.
Boethius' current research focuses on:
-Violence in LGBTQ+ relationships (funded by Brottsoffermyndigheten)
-Nordic returnees from war-torn Ukraine (funded by Vetenskapsrådet)
-Foster care and economy (funded by FORTE)
Boethius is co-editor of Nordic Journal of Criminology, NJC.

Boethius defended her PhD thesis "Men, violence and moral work" in 2015.
