

Susanne Boethius is a researcher at the Department of Sociology. Her research interests are interpersonal violence, violence against women, treatment programs for violent men, workplace innovation, job quality in hospital settings, digital health and more.
Boethius' current research focuses on:
-the social networks' involvement and responses to domestic violence. She is active in the project Call the Police? (Ringa polisen? En undersökning av det sociala nätverkets responser på våld i nära relationer) funded by FORTE.
-value creation and digital platforms. She is a project member in the EU funded project DiHECO (Digital Healthcare ECOsystem research and innovation capability building) lead by Kaunas University of Technology.
Boethius is co-editor of Nordic Journal of Criminology, NJC.
Boethius was Project Manager as well as senior researcher in QuInnE (Quality of jobs and Innovation generated Employment outcomes), an EU funded Horizon 2020 project investigating how innovation and job quality impact each other and how this effects employment. Boethius defended her PhD thesis "Män, våld och moralarbete. Rapporter från män som sökt behandling för våld i nära relationer" in 2015.
