News template
If you have news about a new book or article, please send information according to the following template to the department web editor.
The goal of our research news on the website is to briefly give the public (including our students) an insight into the research that is conducted at the department and therefore the language should be relatively accessible to the public.
The Department of Sociology publishes news on the Swedish website and news on the English website.
When you have news about a new publication, please send the following information to the web editor webbredaktor [at] soc [dot] lu [dot] se (webbredaktor[at]soc[dot]lu[dot]se) (if possible in both Swedish and English):
- Author (name and title of all authors and preferably a link to personal profiles in Lucris)
- Title of the publication/article
- Link to the publication/article
- What kind of publication is it (article/book, etc.), and where has it been published?
- Suggested title (max 90 characters for the title to work on all types of screens)
- Summary of the publication's content and results (approx. 100-300 words) with answers to e.g
- What is the study/publication about?
- Why are the results interesting?
- What is the most important result of the study?
- Did anything about the results surprise you?
- Finally, if relevant, please write something about the study itself:
- How was it implemented? (first this was done, then this...)
- What happens now? How will you continue to work? Will there be more publications/reports?
The news should ideally be displayed on both the English and Swedish webs, so if you have the opportunity, you are welcome to write all the text, or parts of the text, in both languages.
Feel free to include links and images (book cover, portrait), or other media related to the news.
