Welcome to the course Sociology: International Migration and Development

In this welcome letter you will find information about your introductory meeting, when and how to register for the course, where to find course literature and how to log in to Canvas, your learning platform.

Mandatory introductory meeting

You find the time and place for your introductory meeting by searching for the course code (SOCB27) in the schedule. Find schedule via TimeEdit.

How to find the street address in TimeEdit: click on the address in the column for Rooms; click on the address again; now you will find the street address at the very top.

Please note that time and place might be changed, please see schedule before the introduction.

Web registration period: 12 – 15 January

You register for the course in Ladok for students. Please use your student ID to log in.

In our checklist for new students you will find information on student account, how to register and related subjects.

NB! Please observe that you may lose your place on the course if you have not registered within the web registration period and have not contacted the study administration before the deadline. Also, attending the introductory meeting is not enough to start the course, you must also do your web registration in Ladok. Schedule, course literature, learning platform and more

Please find links to schedule, course literature, syllabus and login page to our learning platform Canvas on the page for literature and syllabi.

You have to register for the course in order to get access to the course page in Canvas. The course page will be published during Monday one week before course start.

On the website Current students you will find shortcuts to Ladok, Canvas and Webmail. Here you can also read about different events and last but not least you will find the link to 'Studying in a digital world', which offers great support about e.g. Canvas, Zoom, AI and study techniques. On the same website you will also find information about your rights and responsibilities as a student.
