Warmly welcome to join the final conference of the project Gender Studies and War Challenges in Resilience of Universities in Ukraine: Networking for Excellence in Teaching and Institutional Development. During two full days, May 16-17, gender studies scholars from Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia and Sweden will meet at Lund University to present their research and discuss gender studies during war and peace times. 

The project “Gender Studies and War Challenges in Resilience of Universities in Ukraine” (Swedish Institute 01116/2022) aims to support Ukrainian universities and scholars in developing and maintaining an international gender studies academic network. Furthermore, the aim has been to facilitate the exchange of resources for teaching and research; implement gender-sensitive approaches in teaching, research, and management of the universities and strengthen the integration of Ukrainian gender scholars into the international research community. 

The project and the conference are a collaboration between:

• V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine
• Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia
• European Humanities University, Vilnius, Lithuania
• Lund University, Sweden

Together the five partner universities have developed and given the online course “Rethinking Gender, War, and Peace in XXIst century, Ukraine in a Comparative Perspective”.

The conference will open with two distinguished keynote speakers whose talks will be open to the public.
