QuInnE was an interdisciplinary project investigating how job quality and innovation mutually impact each other, and the effects this has on job creation and the quality of these jobs.

Drawing on the Oslo Manual, both technical and non-technical innovation were investigated, with an emphasis on organisational innovation. Through quantitative analyses and qualitative organization-level case studies, the factors and also the mechanisms and processes by which job quality and innovation impact each other were identified.

The QuInnE project brought together a multidisciplinary team of experts from nine partner institutions across seven European countries.

The project ran from April 2015 through July 2018. QuInnE was funded by the Horizon 2020 framework programme of the European Commission.

This tool lets you investigate how 22 EU countries perform within three general parameters: Job Quality, Innovation, and Employment. These parameters are comprised of a number of variables taken from the most recently available surveys from EU and OECD surveys investigating these variables. The range in each parameter is divided in quartiles: low/low; medium/low; medium/high, and high/high.

Each country’s performance is placed in a quartile allowing comparison between countries at this level, or one can explore each parameter in terms of the variables it comprises of for more in-depth understanding and comparison.
