Introductory meetings, summer opening hours, contact information and other useful information for the summer.
At the beginning of August, a welcome letter will be sent to the email address you have provided on universityadmissions.se In that letter you will find all you need to know regarding your introductory meeting. During the summer, we will also add all Welcome Letters (for all courses starting in August/September) to the page soc.lu.se/en/welcome-letters-autumn
If you have not received an email towards the end of August, please check your spam folder, or find the letter here on the website via the link above.
Please note that introductory meetings are for accepted students only and not for people on our waiting list. More information for those on the waiting list can be found on the page Checklist for New Students.
You can also usually see time, date and place for the introductory meeting in your course schedule. Find your schedule by typing your course code or course name into TimeEdit.

Department building closed from 21 June
The Department of Sociology's building will be closed for students over the summer (from 21 June) and will open again on Thursday 25 August.
Ordinary opening hours (from 25 August): Monday – Thursday 07:30-17:00, Friday 07:30-16:00.
Students with an LU-card can only enter the department building during opening hours.
