Current Research
I am part of the European Research Council (ERC) funded project, ‘ENDINGs’, led by Associate Professor Lea Fünfschilling, which aims to develop a theory of endings within innovation studies. Specifically, I am interested in how communities develop and establish themselves around certain practices – building, maintaining, and reproducing knowledge – especially within socio-technical systems. My research will focus on the implications for communities when their associated knowledge and practices are destabilised and decline. I aim to explore the sociopolitical consequences of endings and how communities maintain and preserve their knowledge and ways of life.
Background
I have a BA in Sociology (University of Birmingham, UK), through which I gained a broad background in sociological theory, methods, and their application. I spent several years working with Roma rights advocacy and supporting vulnerable EU-migrants, in Romania and Sweden, before pursuing an MSc in International Development and Management (LUMID) at Lund University. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked with social policy in Brussels, focusing on Roma rights, migration, employment, and skills development.
