Current research
The aim of my PhD research project is to study feedback loops as a topic of sociological interest to understand the dynamic interactions between users and algorithmic agents and the sociotechnical underpinnings of social action in algorithmic societies. In this sense, my thesis explores how young people make sense of algorithmic data on TikTok. As well as the embeddedness of feedback loops in users’ lives, which evolve based on the different moods, experiences and challenges users experience in their everyday.
