Universities in Global Networks

Author

  • Jan-Olof Nilsson
  • Kjell Nilsson

Summary, in English

The authors consider universities in global networks to understand internationalization of a modern university. They then consider some of the landscapes in which internationalization lives in: the de-territorialization and networking; the tension between competition and cooperation; the impact of free trade agreements; and the Bologna accord. Then they provide a strategy for internationalization: the provision of joint courses and programs in the university networks.
